our community!!

Hi guys!!, this is me again :), inviting u to read this text that I prepared for u

As we have seen in this course, concepts such as e-learning, community of inquiry, social presence, cognitive presence and teaching presence now are becoming familiar for us, aren't they?

Looking for some data on the web I found this:

"e-Learning is the use of technology to enable people to learn anytime and anywhere. e-Learning can include training, the delivery of just-in-time information and guidance from experts"

Then searching again but in youtube lol!!

I found this video which is not exactly related to E-learning, but it talks about learning what I think is really important because is waht we are doing and what we are going to teach, u can check if u want...

Teaching presence
“Teaching presence is defined as the design, facilitation, and direction of cognitive and social processes for the purpose of realizing personally meaningful and educational worthwhile learning outcomes.”
Anderson, T., Rourke, L., Garrison, D. R., Archer, W. (2001). Assessing Teaching presence in a Computer Conference Environment. submitted for publication

As we have seen in previous lessons, social presence, cognitive presence and teaching presence together make a whole into the community of inquiry. In social presence was mention that interaction was important in order to acquire knowledge, then in cognitive presence the learner is the most important and the learning that students may acquire, finally teaching presence involves these two previous presence and most important the way how tutors will teach to students by online.
In teaching presence is important that tutor may starts the interaction, discussion among the participants of the community, later to give them assessment as a reinforcement of the knowledge that are acquiring.
“The creation of teaching presence is not always the sole task of the formal teacher. In many contexts, especially when teaching at senior university level, teaching presence is delegated to or assumed by students as they contribute their own skills and knowledge to the developing learning community.”
Anderson, Garrison, Archer & Rourke, N.d.)

I think that teaching presence is really important because it integrates important parts that we as future teachers we will use for doing a better environment among our students. Also I like the way how we are learning during this course of alternative learning processes, I consider that is a way how we are involved into these three types of presence. The success of the e-learning is collaboration between teacher-students with the use of technology.
